Did you know Macquarie Home Stay is a local not for profit registered charity? And, did you know we have a volunteer board of Directors who give their time and expertise to make us the very best we can be? We interviewed 2 more of our Directors:
Why did you choose to join the board of MHS?
Pete Debus: “Community” is a personal core value - we all have a role to play, using our best skills.
Allister Rodgers: I want to contribute to my community;
What makes you proud to be associated with MHS?
Pete: The service MHS provides and caring manner in which the team provides that service.
Allister: All the good things that the development brings to the people that need it;
What's the best part of being on the MHS team?
Pete: I consider it a privilege to work with the MHS Board, a group of people truly dedicated to improving the lives of others.
Allister: Pride;
What have you been surprised to learn about MHS?
Pete: The IPTAAS paperwork, and the extent of funds raised.
Allister: The quality of the service provided;
And finally - what are your housekeeping skills like? Can you do a hospital tuck when making your bed?
Pete: Nail the hospital corners. I rate my housekeeping skills very high, but perhaps higher than Virginia might.
